Our Food Community FACEBOOK GROUPS are ideal platforms to swap and share homegrown food with other members. This is a great way to use up surpluses and access produce you haven’t been able to grow. You can save yourself a lot of time and money and get to know more of your neighbours!
PLEASE SHARE THIS POST AND LEAVE YOUR COMMENTS BELOW.
How it works:
• Join your local Food Communities FACEBOOK GROUP.
• Post details and photos of whatever you have available to swap.
• Wait for other group members to comment or message you.
• Agree your swap (quantity, when to swap, etc).
You can arrange to meet up and swap person to person. Or you can make use of our three drop-off locations in Peebles (see pics and addresses below). If you use a drop-off location, please leave your produce in a bag or box with a note to say who it is for.
Our drop-boxes and fridge were built or upcycled using waste materials for free by volunteers. Please view the galleries below to see how they were made.
Any swap or share is entirely the responsibility of the members involved. You decide on the quantities and you decide how, where and when to exchange the goods. Food Communities cannot be held responsible in any way for anything that relates to any exchange.
Happy growing and swapping!
